History and creation:

This property was bought in 2008 by Open Dharma facilitators Gemma Polo and Jaya Ashmore, an international network which offers meditations retreats around the world since 1999.

Under the name of ‘Dharmaloca’ (located in the ‘Cavaloca’ valley of Cabaces), the vision for this property was to create and run a small retreat centre based on the deep belief in wild nature as a healing and transformative place for humans.

For the past 10 years, it has offered retreats for both individuals and groups who travel here from different parts of the world.

The sale of this property includes the possibility of passing on the domain of the Dharmaloca website and of redirecting our international network to the new owners, if we share the same vision and principles.

A magical place of great beauty, purity, wilderness and silence, situated near Cabacés in southern Catalonia, 60 km from Reus international airport and 170 km from Barcelona.

This 1-hectare property is located within the Montsant nature preserve in the Priorat area, a world famous exclusive wine region, soon to be designated a World Heritage Site.

It is a 15 minute drive on a mountain road from the nearest village, Cabacés. 4x4 car preferred.

The village of Cabacés has many services such as local school, medical centre, restaurant, bakery, food store, swimming pool, cinema, and bus service.
